George Meets Mashed Potatoes

I'm a little lazy, a little too laid back. Not a "helicopter parent" by any stretch of imagination. More like a satellite parent: keep a general eye on them, make contact a few times a day, notice when they're missing or too quiet.

When all of his peers have tried solid foods and loved it, George has only tasted what he can swipe faster than I can move it out of his reach. Nursing is too easy. Solid food is too messy. I just can't be bothered. So, it was with much fanfare and laughter that we turned him loose with a bowl of mashed potatoes during lunch last week. We were almost laughing too hard to eat our own food. Obviously, he liked it. But I didn't like the clean up. So, we're not in a hurry here.
