Jefferson City, Part IV: Central Dairy Ice Cream!

After the official Phogles tour of Capitol Hill, we met back up with Dave and Millie. In honor of Yvette's birthday, they took us to the most amazing Place of Ice Cream Indulgence: Central Dairy. We got very tasty, unreasonably generous servings of ice cream for our entire group - 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 8 children - for $30. Since I'm a cheapskate, that is the trifecta of cool. If you are ever in Jefferson City, go there.

It was a hopping, happening place, let me tell you! This line went all the way from the doors to the cash register. Millie said that on the really hot summer days, it goes out the doors and down the block. Dave and Katie held our place in line, while we saved our seats.

Mark, Isaac, Gabba and birthday-girl Yvy, in her new poofy, sparkly, dressy princess costume: sheer happiness.

Katie invited me to share a "tropical split" with her. It was huge! And amazingly yummy.

Dave and Millie split a split, too.

There was a couple that came for ice cream with their "labradoodle", and took turns outside with her. They were "parked" right outside the window near our booth. Of course, a big, furry dog is just as irresistible as running water. After the kids were done snarfing down their frozen delight, they went out to meet her. That's where we learned that her name was Lucy. So, of course, we had to take pictures.
