Dancing the Night Away

So, Mark and the kids and I were a little late getting to the reception, but we got there just in time for the dancing to start. It was a rockin' good time. I'm pretty sure everybody got out and boogied.

I personally didn't get very many photos of the couple, really. I was mostly visiting and enjoying myself, so I just got a few shots of my own little brood. Alisha's older sister, Leila, posted a public link to her facebook album here,  with a ton of good stuff, if you need more...

My mother-in-law, Cindy, dancing with her dad (Nathanael & Alisha there off to the side).

Sarah and Katie and Lucy--Sarah took the time to dance with all of her nieces who were in the mood.

Yvette's unnatural glee over blowing bubbles; in the background, you can see Eliza at the kids' table...I think she spent most of the evening in chalkboard heaven.

Jacob. He's kinda bummed that Nathanael is hitched. But he put on a brave smile for the camera.

The photographer guy. I think every wedding needs someone taking pictures of the photographer, just for documentation's sake.

Abi and Michaela loving up my Rorie for me.

Mark dancing with Lucy--it's been forever since he's gone dancing, and he loved every minute of it. Plus, he and Nathanael like the same music, so it was all good as far as he was concerned.

Lucy, on her knees, dancing with George. What a sweet sister to include the little guy!

Mark and I, hamming it up for the camera.

OK, so this photo is about three seconds too late. Mark and Nathanael were tossing George between them, back and forth across the dance floor. George LOVED it, and here he is begging for more, "Uh up again, Daddy!"

Yvette took this photo of her grandma Cindy

Alisha and the lovely Selena

Yvy is now a serious Alisha groupie. She followed her new Aunt around all evening. Alisha was so sweet with her, talking to her and dancing with her, and posing for photographs as well. Thank you, Alisha, you made Yvette feel like a million bucks.

Yvette's photo of Grandma Cindy blowing bubbles.

After just a little bit of dancing, Nathanael and Alisha ditched the fancy wedding get-up and changed into something much more comfortable and dance-able. Yvy took this picture, too.

...and this picture...

...and she really wanted to get a shot of me blowing bubbles. It took three tries, but she was finally satisfied with this one. Look, bubbles!

Shannon, the mother-of-the-bride and Decorator Extradordinaire, getting down to the music.

Mark teaching Gabba some of his dance moves.

The "Couple of Honor" making a few public service announcements (just after Alisha tossed the bouquet).

Lucy and her chalk drawing of Aunt Alisha in her wedding dress, throwing the bouquet.

Eliza posing with a rose she got that fell off Alisha's bouquet.

The last dance of the evening. Nathanael and Alisha started out dancing together, but had a bunch of nieces and nephews cut in, so it just turned into a ring-around-the-rosie dance. They're such a cute couple, and they are so sweet to their little fan club!

End of the last dance, end of the party...applause all around. Now, leave, you two, so we can clean up!

And then they were nothing but taillights...
