Gazette Ahoy!

We here at the House of Phogles subscribe to the Gardner Gazette, an exclusive weekly newsletter put out by one of my high school chums. This chum, Laurel, is the Stay-At-Home-Mother to five, who also happens to have a degree in journalism, and uses it to do a hand-lettered, Xerox-copied weekly publication.

It's a great deal of fun, lots of snippets from daily life with children, many tongue-in-cheek observations about the world around us, exclusive staff cartoons and editorials. As an added bonus, anyone featured in the Gazette gets a custom avatar. I am honored to say that I have had a column featured three or four times...it's the highlight of our postal week to get the latest issue of the Gazette, and we actively support the enterprise during the semi-annual Subscriber Pledge Drive. There are less than 40 subscribing households. You see, one must be invited to subscribe. It helps to be related by blood or marriage to the Editor-in-Chief. Or an old high school chum. Hooray for the Gardner Gazette!
