Then Dave, my awesome brother, decided to take it to task. It was a lull in the building process, so he walked over and stood there for about ten minutes, untying the awful (and awfully big) knot. Then he retied it in a bum-friendly knot, using his Eagle Scout experience and know-how. He even put it lower to the ground, so the wee folk could get on without begging for help.
From that moment on, the rope swing was in constant motion. For the rest of the day, there was a waiting line for turns, and the little-little kids who had never been able to reach it before were in heaven.
So, it just goes to show you what a little bit of patience and determination can do when it's coupled with Boy Scout experience and a desperate need to keep the kids out of the power tools.

Gotta love a good, bum-friendly knot! What a fun thing -- a great tree with a great rope and a good knot!
That picture of Yvette is great! You need to frame it!
